2022-2023 Competition Teams:








Team Tryouts from the 2022-2023 Season will take place Monday, June 20th ($20 audition fee per dancer):
4:30-6pm: Mini and Junior Team
6-7:30pm: Teen and Senior Team


Divas (K-1st grade, beginner team)
Wednesday 4:15-5:15pm (new class)
- required to take at least 1 more dance class


​Mini Team (2nd-4th grade)
Thursday 4:15-5:15pm
- required to take 2 additional classes (1 Acro class)

Junior Team (4th-6th grade)
Wednesday 5:15-6:45pm
- required to take 2 additional classes (1 Acro class)

Teen Team (7th-9th grade)
Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm
- required to take 2 additional classes (1 Ballet/Ballet Technique)

Teen Elite
Tuesday 6:15-7:15pm
- required to take 5 additional classes (1 LTC & 1 Ballet/Ballet Technique)

Senior Team (High School)
Saturday 10:00am-12:00pm
- required to take 2 additional classes (1 Ballet/Ballet Technique)

Senior Elite
Tuesday 7:15-8:15pm
- required to take 5 additional classes (1 LTC & 1 Ballet/Ballet Technique)

Team members will agree to…
  • Advise their teacher ahead of time if my dancer will be absent. Team Choreography Class attendance is extremely important. Only 4 unexcused absences are allowed all year. (Excused absences are death in the family, hospitalization and school academic responsibilities).
  • Be prepared and on time for all team and regular classes.
  • Attend all 4 scheduled competitions and a Nationals Competition when invited.  
  • Wear the appropriate attire and dance shoes to all dance classes. (See website for detailed information).
  • Perform all dances (Team dances and other classes) in our Annual Winter Show, Annual Spring Recital (All Shows) and at Norwell Summer Fest (every 2 years). Dates TBA.
  • Do their best to attend other performance events/opportunities such as parades, community shows and fundraisers JDS participates in within the 2021-2022 dance season.
  • Be respectful to their teachers and listen well in all their dance classes.
  • Act as a positive role model for others at JDS.
  • Possess a strong drive/commitment and give 100% at all times.
